Transperancy
What is Transparency? - It is a metaphorical expression whose root word is "transparent" which is an object one can see through. While there are many industry specific meanings for the term, it is used here as in the social sciences to mean openness, effective communication, accountability and their byproduct, trust and integrity.
The Most Important Decision - How do I really know that I'm really getting a quality piece of software? How do I know the code has not been taken without authorization from copyrighted sources? How do I know the developers aren't fumbling around trying to learn as they go costing me time and money? How do I know they are even working at all for the time I am being billed? Unless you employ a team of experienced developers and project managers yourself, the truth is you can't, you won't and you don't. Hiring a company to complete a costly project that requires highly specialized knowledge and that is, by nature, difficult to monitor, understand and evaluate is a leap of faith. The success of a project often comes down to choosing a well-organized, efficient, responsive, and transparent firm from the start.
